A will is a legal document that allows you to decide what happens to your assets after your passing.

A will can be used to appoint guardians for your children, name a healthcare proxy, and make other important decisions.

When there is no will, loved ones may disagree about who should inherit your assets. This can lead to arguments, lawsuits, and even family estrangement.

A will is a great thing to create and update after important milestones including marriage, having a baby, and buying property.

Follow the signing instructions again, and make sure to destroy the older version(s) of your will.

At present, Canadian law requires wills to be signed and held in physical form (i.e., printed or handwritten). This requirement could change in the near future. Until then, we require our users to follow the detailed instructions provided with each will to ensure legal requirements are met
